Soba Low Angle Block Plane 60 1/2

The compact size of these planes makes them perfect for one handed work where a full size tool would be bulky and awkward.  Accurately machined from fine cast iron with brass adjusting knobs. Soba brand, made in India. Low angle (13 1/2°).  6″ overall length. Blade is 1 3/8″. Blades require honing before use.

Precision Shoulder Plane

This cast iron Shoulder Plane is very finely made and features a two part sole, where the toe mates to the heel on precision ways. The throat can be adjusted and set with an internal setscrew. The toe portion can also be removed to yield a delicate chisel plane. Plane iron adjustment is very precise using the knurled thumb screw. Designed for trimming the shoulders of tenon joints, this plane measures 3/4″ wide x 5″ long. Made in India by Woodstock International.

Router Plane

This solid cast iron Router Plane is the better way to adjust the depths of dados and hinge mortises. The stout blade measure 1/4″ square and is adjustable for precision depth of cut settings. The body measures 2-3/16″ x 4-1/8″. Made in India.

Bullnose Plane

Contoured to fit perfectly in your hand for unmatched control, this Bullnose Plane with its low angle design will handle straight grain as well as end grain. The plane iron is also aligned flush to the side of the plane body, so rabbets and mortise and tenon joints can be precisely trimmed. Bullnose Rabbet Plane

Rabbet planes are the best tools for trimming shoulders, rabbets, grooves and tenons.  Because the blade extends out to the sides of the plane, access to right angle corners is possible.  The style of this plane is known as “bullnose” which describes the short extension in front of the blade.  This short nose piece makes it possible to work close in corners and hard-to-reach areas.   The front can be removed allowing this tool to also be used as a chisel plane.
